AGM 2009 - Wednesday 24th June

Dear Members and Supporters,

The Annual General Meeting of Burma Action Ireland which will take place on Wednesday 24 June 2009 at 7.00 pm. The venue is Loreto Hall, 77 St. Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2. The meeting will include a report from both the Chairperson and Treasurer of Burma Action Ireland and the election of new officers for the year 2009/2010.

The Annual General Meeting provides an opportunity for you to participate in the decision making process and organisational direction of Burma Action Ireland. It also provides you with an opportunity to learn of the activities of BAI over the past twelve months and to offer your opinion with regard to the future undertakings of BAI.

On behalf of Burma Action Ireland, I would like to express our thanks to you for your support of the work of BAI over the last year. We would ask you to help us continue that work by attending the AGM and by renewing your subscription if you haven’t already done so. Your contribution is very important and helps us to lobby for positive change in Burma, to raise awareness of Burma issues through our quarterly newsletter and public events and to host representatives from the Burmese democracy movement in Ireland. Our sincere thanks to those who have already renewed their subscription for the coming year.

We look forward to seeing you at the AGM and would like to thank you again for your continued support.

Gearoid Kilgallen
